Privacy Policy
The short version
offhand is built to need almost nothing from you. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server that sees which apps you open or for how long — that information stays on your device. This page explains exactly what that means and the few places it isn’t quite the whole story (crash reports, the store you downloaded from, and support email).
What stays on your device
Your app list, usage limits, unlock schedule, and the pause/delay settings you configure all live locally on your phone. offhand does not operate an account system, does not require sign-in, and does not transmit your app-usage activity to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app removes this data with it.
What we do receive
- Purchase confirmation. Apple and Google handle payment directly; we receive confirmation that a purchase was made, not your card details.
- Crash and performance reports. If the app crashes, standard platform tooling (Apple’s and Google’s own crash-reporting frameworks) may send a diagnostic report. These are the same reports every app on the platform generates and are not tied to your app-usage history.
- Support email. If you write to us, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email — nothing more.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell data, because we don’t collect the kind of data that would be worth selling.
- We don’t show ads or share information with advertising networks.
- We don’t build a profile of your habits across devices or across other apps.
Children’s privacy
offhand is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what offhand collects ever changes, this page will change with it, and the “last updated” date above will move. We won’t backdate a change that reduces your privacy without telling you.
